During a recent business trip, I found myself at Rock Inn Bailan, nestled serenely in the jungle of Ko Chang. The location is a true haven of tranquility, where the sound of rustling leaves is punctuated by gentle breezes, making it a perfect escape from city life. I was particularly charmed by the cozy bungalow that featured a delightful private terrace—a lovely spot to unwind after a long day, indeed a welcome luxury! The owners, Gerhard and his wife, are outstanding hosts, always ready with friendly advice and local tips that don't feel contrived—refreshing in a world of cookie-cutter travels. Bonus points for their three charming cats, invaluable guardians against unwelcome slithery visitors. Another highlight was the high-quality scooters available for rent, perfect for exploring the nearby beach or venturing further afield. My room was impeccably clean, equipped with a hot shower and a small fridge, everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The thoughtful touches, like coffee-making accessories, added to the homely feel. For anyone keen on cultural depth and luxury in a serene setting, Rock Inn is a real gem.
